Does anyone else deal with painful nerve damage years after the fact?
A majority of my SI took place when i was a younger teenager, around 12-15; it took over a lot of my life for a long time, luckily I've (mostly) come past this point with little SI ideation, however my scars are still there and bothersome to me physically.
I know I have nerve damage in a few areas in my arm (when some of them were first healing i would feel really sharp pain running up the entirety of my arm, theyd go numb, yadda yadda the average nerve damage symptoms) but as of recently its been bothering me a lot more? This is like a few years after the fact as well. I dont know how to explain it, its almost debilitating, I'll find myself having this terrible dull ache all over my arm, or I'm unable to hold objects as well either due to my hand not being able to grip or my arm feeling much weaker; the other night when I was trying to sleep I was on my side, and the other arm which I was not sleeping arm began to have very bad pins and needles to the point of me writhing. This has been going on for about a month? Or two? Is this just apart of the healing process, and if so how long would this particular part of it last? Is there any way I can stop feeling as uncomfortable?
FYI I'm not really in a place where I can readily see a physical health professional, but next time I do I might bring it up if it is still bothering me. Also I'm sorry for any formatting issues, I'm on mobile.
