When I get a TPR that says check quantity , every time I ask they just change the quantity because insurance will pay for so much . I just want to know how do they know what quantity to change it to? Like I had this patient get sildenafil and the quantity was 10 and the sig was take 1 tablet for erectile dysfunction as needed . I didn’t know what the day supply was neither, so I had to ask for help. So my coworker put it to 6 for the quantity and 30 for the day supply and insurance paid for it. I get frustrated because I dont know this and i hate feeling lost.
