My school is well known for having a strong reputation and having a title "School of Rich Kids" and its crazy how its disgustingly infected with secret nepo babies or children of policitians.
Ever since I knew about these kids in school, I realized how lavish their lives are. They have their own cars, some have personal drivers, majority lives in exclusive neighbourhoods and every other thing rich people have and would do. But ever since I became familiar with this one big "rich" circle of friends, I noticed how rude they actually are, this one person literally made fun of me for having a Samsung, hello? its 2026 grow up. Others I know hate riding jeepneys or any cheaper mode of transportation—they’d rather call their driver or get a taxi, even when commuting or walking would be more practical.. Some would straight up show off not just their stuff but also their connections with higher ups even those I know are (not good leaders 👀). I also noticed how they dont get along with other people so much but mostly just people in their level. They are really what you'd expect rich people would be. Unfortunately, the elitist culture here is so normalised. I even believe I myself have been looked down on because these kids have common connections with me and GOSSIP IS BIG HERE !
Not to mention, they constantly talk about being in this school. Trends like school “starter packs,” TikTok life dumps, and anything that boosts their image seem to be their comfort zone and also even when people talk about them. It’s still crazy to me how well-known their families are in terms of background in that one city and here but they still get praised.
Also crazy when their families are "leaders" all the way from another city but they are here in the other side, maybe hiding? lol hahahaha.
