I don't know what flair is suitable for my question but I hope to get people's thoughts on this.
I recently had the opportunity to attend a 95th birthday party for my fiancé's grandmother. As it happens, about two months ago the birthday girl became a great-great grandmother due to the birth of my fiancé's grandson which means there are now five living generations of my fiancé's family.
For myself, I am at the other end of that spectrum as all of my grandparents had passed before I was even thought of.
All this got me wondering, how many families, or what percentage of families, may exist that have members of five generations living?
I would be interested in hearing people's thoughts on this.
Thank you.
