Hi, I have a best friend. We applied to the same college we both got accepted, she was originally ecstatic about it. She ended up choosing a different college because of personal reasons. I am going to the college, I started noticing subtle hints of what I believe is jealousy, I recently told her I got a roommate she only said “ayyy that’s good!” But that’s all she didn’t ask any follow up questions. I told my other friend and she seemed genuinely happy for me, and asked follow up questions. I also got my license recently , and a car, I got into a small accident and when I told her what happened, she asked me “did you get scammed” and laughed, I don’t know why that comment felt off to me. Many other comments and things have happened , which I can put into perspective as a whole but overall, I just feel like she doesn’t reciprocate the excitement and energy I give her, on her own accomplishments. I would appreciate some honest advice because I cherish her friendship, but I feel a small wall around us and the year is coming to an end.
