Got offers from MariBank/Seabank and another “blue fintech” (you can probably guess 😅), and I’m stuck choosing.
Comp-wise, the blue fintech is significantly better. But vibes were better in MariBank based on the people I met during interviews.
Is it worth taking lower pay for better “vibe” and (potentially) better culture?
If anyone here works/worked at MariBank PH, how’s the culture really?

Hi guys! Question lang, kasi I’m the type of person na kapag nag-apply, I cast out a big net. As in, I’ll apply for as many openings that fit the role I want, regardless of company, to see which ones bite.
A lot of companies got back to me naman, I’ve gone through series of interviews, and some of them at the later stages na of the job app process.
An old batchmate of mine reached out and offered me a position in her company. I said ok, since I’m open to new opportunities naman.
I had my initial interview last week kaso di ko bet yung vibes ng boss niya hahaha at gusto nila ako magstart agad kahit na I told them na I can only start mid-June.
Pero I passed their interviews (mga 4 din yun) and now they’re lobbying me sa hiring manager pero nahihiya ako kasi di ko bet talaga. Gusto ko lang sana makita yung offer kasi promise niya na malaki yung sahod.
Pero ganito pala pag rinefer ka, medyo mahihiya kang mag-back out, especially if they’re lobbying for u ;(
