Will Our Children Play Together?
Finally I started a conversation with the mother of the little girl my three year old started to play with. My daughter is not in dear care and has grown a desire to have friends. She’s an only child right now. So when she makes a friend at the playground that connection becomes a bit more significant than a passing bay/kid her age.
I was hesitant in making this connection but whew I finally did it. I gave her my number and said she sent me a text but it did t go through because she has no service (in the park OR no service away from home. I really DON’T KNOW)
Then something w I asked if she had WhatsApp. That turned into having Snapchat. She looked how I can share my contact info via Snap (she did ask if it was okay to touch my phone) because I’m not yet familiar with Snap. So she scanned my share QR pic. I have a meeting in a few so I’ll check that app to see if I was added by her or not. Part of me also feels like she didn’t really want to connect. How are Indians with non Indian people? I know she also speaks Farsi(I’m not sure if that’s the right spelling of the language) because her daughter is learning that and English. She never shared her number. She did share her name. Trying to connect for my daughter’s sake.
