1st time cruisers looking for port itinerary advice as mid twenty year olds :)) also Symphony vs Independence??

Hello,

My friends and I are going on a girls trip and we’ve decided on a cruise this time around!! We’ve managed to narrow down a few options but I wanted advice on which cruise you’d recommend or seems like the better option please. Interested on your experiences with Independence and/or Symphony as well as the actual ports we dock at.

For context, we range from ages 22-27 and as you can expect from women in their twenties we love a good club/party. But I don’t plan on being drunk the entire time either. Ideally the ports would have really nice beaches and active excursions involving the culture of the country or wildlife etc. I don’t care too much for shopping so I feel like a port such as (old) San Juan wouldn’t be the most ideal.

I am leaning with option 3, but I wish the ship was Symphony 😭😫 Independence seems old whereas Symphony has a nicer more modern rooms- not to mention it’s a larger ship with more activities.

Option 1: 6 nights on Symphony of the seas stopping in Puerto Costa Maya MX, Roatan Honduras, and Cozumel MX. There would be 2 sea days. Costs $895

- Option 1.5: almost exact itinerary as 1 except it’s 7 days with 3 sea days. Costs $880

Option 2: 7 nights on Independence of the seas stopping at Cococay, St. Thomas Virgin Islands, and Puerto Plata Dominican Republic. There’s 3 sea days. Costs $780

Option 3: 7 nights on Independence of the seas stopping at Cozumel MX, St. George Grand Cayman, Falmouth Jamaica, and CocoCay. There’s 2 sea days. Costs $835

- Just want the most bang for our buck and to have a great time!

TLDR: Mid twenties year old women looking for advice on which cruise itinerary has the better ports and which is the better ship: Independence of the Seas vs Symphony of the Seas. Any and all advice is appreciated!!
