Traveling with my gf. Will we be paired with a small group in the mdr? I’ve only been on a Disney cruise so I wasn’t sure

When did the duck leaving become a thing?

Been on 3 other royal cruises over 5 years and this is the first one I've seen ducks everywhere.

I actually grabbed the duck with the tag cause on my deck someone has a duck mailbox with a sign saying to leave a duck so I fulfilled their wish.

How was it traveling with your significant others family?

My partner and I take cruises at least once a year. My MIL has traveled with us and it’s been awesome. This year we are taking my son + MIL + SILs (3) and their spouses on a cruise. What was your experiences with this? Did you have fun what were the biggest annoyances? Anything you absolutely have to do or avoid ? Thanks in advance!

P.s not trying to find things to hate just will be my first time traveling with them period / a group of this size in like 23 years.

UK traveller question for when Miami Cruise ends

I am going on a cruise from Miami Port after spending a few nights in Miami, really excited. I have done 15 UK sailings but never a US one! I wanted to know what to do when we disembark. What’s the protocol?

we don’t fly home untill 7pm that night from MIA and I am a bad flyer tbh so don’t want to be roaming around with luggage or sat at the airport.

I’ve seen you can rent hotels for the day, but something mentioned an airport luggage service or would you just take your own luggage off, get a uber to the airport hotel chill there and board?

What do you think? thanks x

Icon of the Seas or similar ships

We just got off of our first Royal Caribbean ship last weekend. We had a great time on the Serenade of the Seas going to Alaska. On our cruise we saw several ads for the Icon of the Seas and similar ships. We have done several cruises before this but on other lines to different destinations. We definitely want to do one of the ships for our next cruise that has a ton of on board waterpark fun and things of the such to really enjoy the ship. What are some thoughts for anyone who has been on Icon of the seas or any similar ships like it?? Thanks for the input!

Royal Caribbean Ship Art 👌

This has to be my favorite ship art. Does anyone else have a favorite art piece in the fleet?

Laundry during 12 day Alaska Cruise

Hi everyone,

We are doing the 12 night fjord, tundra, and national parks starting in fairbanks. We are flying out July 25th to have an extra day and avoid travel issues, land portion starts on July 26th. It is a 6 day pretour.

Anyone ever do this and is there time during any of the land stops to do laundry? We were going to do laundry first day on the ship but I am a bit nervous as it says everything is washed hot water and high heat. I really dont want all our stuff to shrink. To pack lighter was hoping to wash tee shirts, shorts, my wife's clothes, kids clothes, etc and basically use it to reset.

It is hard to tell how much time we will have in the last few stops, i.e. anchorage, maybe to find a dropoff laundromat service near our hotel

First cruise with our teen trans kid is coming up and RC doesn't have any preferred name system, so I made this card to discretely hand to staff we'll see regularly.

Wanted to share it here in case any other parents or LGBTQIA+ travelers were interested. Happy to send the template to anyone that wants it now or in the future.

I Love the Windjammer Cheeseburgers

I have seen mixed reviews for the Windjammer cheeseburgers. People say they have a weird texture, but in my (humbly correct) opinion, they are just super juicy.

What is the consensus of the sub?

Has anyone declined their first Royal Caribbean embarkation?

Hi everyone!

I have a question for people who have worked for Royal Caribbean or Starboard.

I'm currently waiting for my first embarkation date. However, I have already received a great job offer in the hospitality industry.

If I decide to decline my first embarkation because I accepted this opportunity, would Royal Caribbean or Starboard blacklist me or make it difficult to work with them in the future?

I'm not trying to waste anyone's time—I just want to make the best long-term decision for my career. I'd really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences.

Has anyone declined their first assignment and later been offered another one?

Thank you!
