Are these good spa prices?

Have you seen significantly lower than this prices for sweedish and deep tissue couples massages? Not my first rodeo so I know if you pre book you save but wondering if it’s really worth it and if it’s a good discount or if I should just book on a port day once we get there discounted.

Would love the experts opinions!! 😊🚢

Our spring break itinerary was just cancelled…

We were originally supposed to go on Allure next spring break, but just received an email last night that the itinerary was canceled due to the ship being chartered (I didn’t know that was a thing). Harmony js available that same week, but we already have that one booked for next fall so really our only options for that same week are Icon-class ships. Our kids will be 4 and 5 and I know a lot of people have told us to avoid Icon ships for a few years until our kids are old enough to enjoy everything, but we don’t really have many other options at this point. So, is there enough for small kids to enjoy, or is it really a waste of money? We could do either Icon or Star.

First time cruiser

Hi all,

My family and I are going on oasis of the seas from New York this October. We have two kids one is four years old the other one is one year old. We are not heavy drinkers so I was wondering if drink package is necessary or we can just pay per drink, like what would be more cost friendly if that’s the right term for our case. Also please give me any insights/hacks I should know as a first time cruiser. We were saving so long a to take this trip so I want to ensure I am as prepared as possible. Thanks all🩷🩷

Switching rooms

Hey all! I’m sailing out on oasis of the seas in the fall time w/ my boyfriend and family and we are so excited. Obviously I want to room with my boyfriend but the issue was that he doesn’t drink and I do, with the new policy of everyone in the same cabin having to buy the alcohol package, on paper we put that he was sharing a room with my cousin (who also doesn’t drink) and I’m with my aunt (who’s getting the package). Ideally once we get on the ship I’m imagining I could just be like “I can’t stand rooming w her she snores like crazy” or something like that lmao and they’ll just fix his room key. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? Are we gonna get in hot water and be charged for 2 more drink packages? Any advice is appreciated thanks in advance! :)

Room Pic

Hey fellow cruisers!! I’ll be taking my first cruise on Rhapsody in their ultra spacious ocean view #2532. Does anyone have any interior shots of this room? I’m very much anal about things when I travel and like to know what I’m getting into, and when I look online there’s at least 3 variations of photos that never match up.🙂‍↕️🙃

Ovation of the Seas just canceled a stop at Hubbard Glacier.

And I’m extremely disappointed…

Here’s a photo in route from Ketchikan to Sitka for your viewing pleasure even with the negatives.

No-show

I'll be taking a cruise this October with my parents, and the price for my stateroom was cheaper for 2 than 1, so I've put my sister's name down for it. She's not interested in going, though, and we're not getting anyone to replace her.

I understand that I can have her no-show & get taxes + port fees refunded, but how should I go about doing that? Do I mention it to the staff member checking me in? Or do I just check in alone & not mention her at all? I'm really hoping to avoid any potential of them charging me the single occupancy price at the cruise terminal. I'll be sailing out of Yokohama so it's not a port that I'm familiar with.

Thank you in advance!

Can I pay with a cruise entirely using gift cards?

My work allows me to buy gift cards from Royal Caribbean for 88 cents on the dollar. I can only get gift cards in denominations of $100 ($88), $250 ($220), and $500 ($440).

Can I just buy enough gift cards to pay for a whole cruise and basically get a 12% discount? I have never paid for a cruise using one or multiple gift cards before, so I wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

If this is actually a viable way to pay for a whole cruise, I will also see if the Royal credit card gives the 3x points for Royal purchases. I’m not sure if they would in this situation if the gift card is technically purchased from a 3rd party.

Also- take this as a sign to check with your work to see if they offer similar kinds of discounts! I would never have known this was a thing.

Edit: it looks like I can also get Celebrity gift cards for a 15% discount as well!

Rockin., first time cruiser.

Are there any experienced cruisers on the Allure right now? And are all cruises this rocky? We have been swaying quite a bit and a few members of our group had to take cabin days today due to seasickness. Also sorry to keep going on but does anyone have any tips? Thank you in advance for any feedback.

4 people in 1 interior room

So, myself and three friends (all mid 20's, 2 guys and 2 girls) are going on the Oasis of the Seas later this year. To save money, we booked one interior room for the four of us and are allowing Royal to choose the location for us. Since we will barely be in the room other than sleeping and showering, we figure that it will be fine.

No need to state the obvious, I understand that it's not ideal and will definitely be cramped. I'm looking for advice/tips on how to make the situation easier to manage. If anyone else has had an arrangement similar to this before, how did it go? What was the room setup and sleeping situation like? I've heard different things like pull out couches or pull down beds being in some of the staterooms, but I'm not sure. Is there anything we can or should request from Royal before (or during) the cruise?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fix your glitch

My deluxe beverage package is significantly cheaper today. Been trying to cancel and rebook on my app. I keep getting a “sorry we have hit a snag. Please try later.” message. So I called customer service to ask them to do it and she said she was running up against the same error and to try in 3 to 4 hours. That lower price better be available when you finally decide to remove the glitch RC!! It’s for a 7 day cruise so I don’t want to miss the lower price.

Perfect Day Mexico rejected by Mexican Government

Oof, looks like Mexico squashed plans for Perfect Day Mexico. This destination looked like it was really going to be something.

Curious to see how the company stats unwinding all the press around it. Was looking forward to possibly visiting on Hero of the Seas in 2028.

Adventure Ocean Royal Babies Nursery

Just wanted to share my experience with using the baby nursery on Star of the Seas last week as it was my first cruise and first time using the nursery. I couldn't find a ton of info on it before we left so maybe someone would find this helpful.

I used the Adventure ocean royal babies (6-36 months) for 4 evenings on our 7 day trip.l for my 6 month old baby. On the first day you need to go to the adventure ocean theater upon getting on the ship. I waited about an hour but heard some people they waited up to two hours. It's a very slow painful process of one person taking reservations. They allow you to book 6 hours initially and then open reservations again on day 3. I used these for 7-10pm on days 2 and 3. On day 3 I believe they open up at 9am to start the process again. People lined up around 8:30am that day in my experience and you are then allowed to book one more reservation. Day 5 I was able to go down mid day and book another reservation. They do fill up and have essentially a one in one out so you kind of get what you get in terms of time slots depending how early you signed up. Ie on day 3 i wanted to use my slot for day 4 due to a show and I was only able to book from 6:15-8:15pm. After day 4 I was able to get another slot from 7-10pm.

Upon drop off they ask you last feeding, last change, etc and give you a phone to reach you if needed. I left a premade formula bottle on the first evening and they said they prefer the bottles to not be premade going forward so they are fresher. I am not sure not sure how or if they handle breast milk. I left my daughter and they fed her, put her down and when I picked her up they rolled her crib out and we were able to keep her sleeping until we got back to the room. I never got a call or had any issues with the staff but my daughter does attend daycare so she is used to being in this sort of setting.

There is no info or linking for the Royal babies etc in your app which maybe is a safety thing? It does seem like some other method would be more efficient.

Taking a Pacific Coastal Cruise, will we be able to get internet on sea days without a RC Plan?

I will be taking a Pacific Coastal cruise from Vancouver to San Diego. As we are cruising down the coast will my phone be able to get data from the land on sea days or will we be too far away?

If its going to be spotty and unreliable, how unreliable are we talking about?

edit: Thanks to everyone who responded. I will probably be getting a package to cover the sea days.

tips for fist timers?

my boyfriend, daughter (will be 2), grandmother, and I are going on a 5 night cruise (we got a 2 bedroom suite) i heard they have a daycare and was wondering if anyone has experience with that? we’re going to be on freedom of the seas if that makes any difference? idk i was just hoping to get some advice from someone more experienced

edit: is the key worth it? each of us adults have one device that would need wifi and i can’t lie, priority embarking and disembarking sounds amazing plus the 20% off at the nicer restaurants.. it sounds kinda worth it but if anyone has some insight, it would be super appreciated

Check-in

Hi Royal Crew,
I’m checking in soon (new to Royal). Do I need to submit a photo of my passport or does it allow keyed entry of info at check in? Also, I’ll be checking in two other cabins- I was hoping to complete their check in to allow us expedited boarding. Am I able to upload a photo, or does this require a “live” selfie?

Casino offers

So I’m currently on a 7-night cruise on day 6 and I’ve accrued 760-ish casino royale points. I am unable to make the next cruise free/discounted offers at this tier level. I was wondering how many people around this point range receive promotional offers after the cruise via mail or email. I know part of this is just luck based on RC marketing i would just like to see what others are receiving.

Thank you in advance!

Cruise Rookie in July--Check in this Friday Question

Our check in for a July cruise is Friday. Does that mean midnight? And if we are in no rush to board--Say we're good with boarding 2-3 pm on the day we embark--is there any reason to check in when it starts? Or could I do it when I wake up in the morning? I've looked for solid info on checking in and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Any info is greatly appreciated.
