I’m looking at doing a back to back cruise for my 40th in 2028. It would be wife and me on Independence of the seas and then jump off the boat and walk onto Hero of the Seas.

The first cruise would be the two of us, the second cruise would be with our 6.5 and assume a grandparent or set of grandparents who would fly out with him.

How burnt out would we be on B2B for different boats and itinerary or is it at fun as I would expect!?

I do NOT get tired of cruising on a 7 day cruise. Outside of missing the kid if we cruised without him.

EDIT: I realize this is technically a side by side. But how was your experience? How did you do laundry??

So my son will be basically 5.5yrs old when I take him skiing for the first time in March.

I always ski Taos as we have a place there but my wife is TERRIFIED of Taos and because of this refuses to let him ski there for his first time. She keeps saying it needs to be Angel Fire or Red River (compromise)

I’m telling her if he can learn Taos and with those instructors in a week he’s set to ski anywhere we take him.

Will he get a lot better and quality lessons in Taos compared to the other resorts or is it worth doing the other mountains primarily for him? I’ve skied Taos and basically any mountain my entire life so I’m just used to skiing anything you’re at.

EDIT: I just realized I left this out- we have a place in Taos and that’s why I always ski it. I live in Texas so the JSX flights for the wife and kid are convenient while I drive in with the dogs and stuff. I’m open to driving to RR and AF. Which sounds like may be the best for a day or two at least.

My wife is really good at playing with toys with our 5yr old son. However, i just have a hard time doing it for more than 10-15 minutes.

I like to stay in the room while they play but struggle with this.

I’m just a lot better at the active stuff like running around, exercise, park time, taking him places and just being on the go. Or even playing his Bluey game on the switch.

Like I said, I actively try to get more engaged on it because he asks me to play constantly but after 10-15 minutes I kinda just try to move his attention to doing things a bit more active.

Any advice on how to get better as a father/parent for him and this?

We’re looking to move to a new city and state and it will only be about 2-3 years so buying a new house isn’t really worth it or in the cards.

Wife and I are professionals with a single kid but we have an 18yr old husky and 9 year old husky along with a 12or so year old Siamese/Himalayan cat.

What are chances that landlords would make exceptions to their pet rules if I’m able to show records and referrals from their vet and history or no damage, well behaved and let them do a meet.

Outside of these animals we are honestly perfect tenants that anyone would want with jobs, credit, history etc.

For context- I’ve had a very stressful few years. (Back and nerve issues, first born who’s now 5 and severely ADHD, and a father who got hit hard with ALS that I sacrificed a lot of personal time and family and health time to spend with until he passed last month)

We have been in our house for close to 7 years and have RARELY used the jets and I’ve done some vinegar run through with the jets before. However, I looked in the jets today and they seem to be caked in dark mold/mildew

How’s the best way to do clean this? And is this likely shower mildew like stuff or the dangerous black mold? I bought the Yuk jetted tub cleaner but want to make sure I clean this throughly and safely

Was driving and getting onto a highway and these was just a random drop where the radio cut out for maybe a half second and kicked on and the AC stopped blowing but stayed off although the unit was on. I turned the AC off and on and it worked fine

Is this a possible glitch or something more? It’s a 2021 with 83k miles. For a little bit seems like the AC will sometimes blow a little more than other times at full blast. Battery was replaced a few thousand miles ago and no other lights or issues going on

So it’s my first time trying cruise compete and I’m looking at 2 options between a RCL cruise and NCL cruise and wanted to see how I ensure best deal without crossing lines or straight up rules

It mentions you can’t compare/share quotes so how can I ensure I’m getting the best deal? Most of these seem generic “here’s our price and OBC” without actually including drink package cost or gratuities like I specifically asked
