Basically, I've playing bass a couple of months now, and am enjoying the sound of it and fucking around with noodling.

I've been making a very concerted effort to learn major notes on the neck. Recently, I've been working on major scales and have been thinking about how to use those notes in some kind of a pattern or actual playing.

I'm new, and I'm perfectly content with just enjoying the instrument and learning, but what should I shoot for in the next couple of months?

I'm happy to work on a strong foundation and be able to actually do something in 6 months, rather than chasing the "play all the songs approach" for instant satisfaction. Do I work to play tabs/notes on songs I know, or work to keep up with learning the bass itself?
