applying to jobs soon after starting a new role?
i’m not sure if this or the title will make sense but i was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or advice on this.
i’ve been at my current job for just over a month which is a customer assistant in a supermarkets cafe for 22 hours a week. it’s not particularly where i want to be in a job, but i’d been let go from a job with a temp contract in january that i’d been in for a year & a half and it was the first job offer i’d had in 3 months, so took it as i needed a job and money.
if i’ve seen a couple jobs that i think would be more suitable than my current role and similar to what i had before and what i want to do (admin & full time) will those new employers be likely to question in any potential interviews why i’m applying for jobs so soon after starting my current job, or if i explain that i’m looking for jobs that could lead to a career similar to what i did my degree in (which is genuinely true & what i want) will they be okay with it?
