are all managers this horrible?
i got an interview on the spot at my local petco on the 25th of may. he tells me i did amazing, the latest i will hear from him is the next day! that day passes, absolutely nothing so i call the day after. he says i’m so sorry! our system isn’t working but you can expect a response by saturday! saturday passes, nothing. so does sunday and monday. today i called, he says i’m so sorry! there’s someone in the office with me at the moment but i‘ll put you on hold and be back. i am on hold for an HOUR AND 14 MINUTES. just waiting. I hang up and call back, maybe he forgot! someone else answers. i ask if the manager is there and he says nope! he went out to lunch! and i just let him know that i was waiting for over an hour for him, the past couple of days i’ve gotten, it’ll be this day or that day, but those days turn out with nothing and i would appreciate if he can just let him know that i am waiting! for something! and he said he will. hopefully i didn’t sound too emotional on the phone but i did cry when i hung up. i’d rather take a rejection than this loop of messing with my feelings. it’s frustrating and my hopes kept going up and down, thinking i was actually going to land an additional job but at this point i don’t want this job anymore. it hurts so much and this is the only opportunity that has reached out to me after going to multiple places in person, interviews, and applying online. i have 5 years in customer service and retail. what warrants this type of unprofessionalism? are they all like this? wtf just happened?
