Hey yall, just thought itd be interesting to bring up why and how Im utilizing two consoles.
Generally speaking, I cant afford a Series X and ultimately see no need to get one since I can get a new One X for more than half the price and Ill still have access to new gen games through my S. I cant see myself daily-driving the S since it has no disc drive (disc gaming is important to me as I enjoy collecting games and feeling like I own them, and anyway I already have plenty of other xbox one games that Id have to rebuy if I mained the S) and the one I have is only 512 GB. Currently, Im only interested in playing Borderlands 4 and GTA VI once its out, and just dont see myself utilizing the S to do anything more than play these two and have a few other games when its going to get full pretty quickly and Id have to rebuy a lot of things.
My way of going about it is keeping the S in my living room as use it how I use my old Switch- something that I mainly play with when friends are over, which will get some great
use out of the fast loading times and specs of the S on that giant TV in the living room I have, and to have access to new gen games here and there. Kind of a mini-Xbox thats easily portable and more of a fun machine for me and my friends to play locally with.
The Xbox One X will be for my bedroom, and allow me to play my disc games and has 1 TB (more than the S), which for me is perfect since I tend to play older games that are heavy on storage space, and honestly anything I could be missing out on on the One X and Series S will be made up with through my computer gaming system.
And just to mention, I also dislike the physical look of Series X, Im looking for something that could easily be hidden away, which the One X is easier to do with, and I plan on getting the next gen Xbox once its released. The One X is more of a replacement for my current PS4 slim that is dying so I can have a personal console in my room that will run fine til the new gen.
I dont really feel like Im missing out here having both a One X and Series S. What do you guys think?
