Wife is very anxious after blood results and emergency scare, looking for some positive experiences

Hey everyone!

I'm gonna try to make this as short as possible. My wfie[27F] and I [29M] have been expecting our first baby for 18 weeks now. We have a history of multiple miscarriages last year so we were followed this year by a specific clinic to help us conceive.

Everything has been stressful but luckily our fine, our baby boy is growing well, with a good heartbeat etc.
However, yesterday night, my wife had some light dark spotting and, with our history, we ran to the hospital immediately. It was fine, what happened exactly is a bit unclear for us but we understood it my be a ectopy. We understand that it's something on the top part of cervix that was very sensitive and blood or got "pushed" by the baby growing closer to the vagina and that caused some bleeding but there is nothing wrong or dangerous.

My wife was trying to calm down from the scare but we got some blood results today that her thyroid antibodies were still a bit high (they are what caused the miscarriages at first) and her liver enzyme too. Her cholesterole is a 5.1 which, from what we understand, is still fine during pregnancy. She has no high BP or any other bad symptoms, only lower back pain so nothing surprising.

She asked me if I could ask her for some reassurance/positive experiences of pregnant people having maybe similar things that still carried the baby to term all fine.

Right now her mind is on loop on some videos of very exceptional sad cases and kinda convinced that it's gonna happen to her so we're trying to counter those thoughts.

(Before anyone asks, she also contacted her therapist and we're waiting for an answer to set up an appointment fast.)

Thank you for anyone willing to share and help!

TMA 2026 World Cup - Round 3 - Part 12

Welcome to part 12 of Round 3!

All information and rules are available on this post.

The results of part 11 are here if you missed them.

Let's start immediately with our two new duels:

Hive VS Infectious Doubts:

MAG 32: Hive
Transcript

Statement:

Statement of Jane Prentiss, regarding a wasps' nest in her attic.

Post-Statement:

Jon is pleased to have found Prentiss' statement, but is sad there is no new information in it. Jane was found in her flat with her arm up to the elbow in 'pulped organic matter'. It could not be investigated furthing since there was a fire that completely destroyed the flat and killed the landlord, Arthur Nolan.

Prentiss was taken to the hospital and as medical personnel tried to restrain her, she expelled numerous worms killing hospital staff. She then walked out and disappeared.

Jon expresses the possibility that her case is not paranormal, and is merely an "unknown, aggressive parasite," but states that he feels that this case is supernatural.

MAG 145: Infectious Doubts
Transcript

Statement:

Statement of Arthur Nolan regarding the life and death of Agnes Montague.

Post-Statement:

Jon muses philosophically on the realities of being an Avatar of the entities and his research in Ny-Ålesund and about Gertrude's case.

Georgie interrupts, looking for Melanie, and they talk about her going to therapy and Georgie mentions Jon might need some too. He asks if she'd go with him but she says no. She awkwardly leaves, telling Jon to take care of himself.

Extended Surveillance VS The Piper

MAG 148: Extended Surveillance

Transcript

Pre-Statement:

Basira visits Elias in jail, and assaults him, angry that he sent them to the north pole for nothing while neglecting to mention that Jon has been feeding on innocent people’s trauma.

Later, Jon is incredulous that Basira has been getting information from Elias but he is not surprised that he left out info on Jon’s new “diet”. Basira lays it out in simple terms, John will stop feeding on people’s trauma or she will put him down. If Daisy can, so can he.

Statement:

Statement of Sunil Maraj, regarding their work as a security guard and the disappearance of their co-worker Samson Stiller.

Post-Statement

John wonders if reading a statement of The Eye counts as some sort of auto-cannibalism. Regardless, he is finding it harder and harder to ignore how each statement seems to be giving him less and less satisfaction. He quickly moves on to the next statement, hoping it will not be quite as stale.

MAG 7: The Piper
Transcript

Statement:

Statement of Staff Sgt. Clarence Berry regarding his time serving with Wilfred Owen in the great war.

Post-Statement:

No follow up on this statement as it is so old, although Jonathan Sims remarks that Gertrude's record keeping was atrocious and he feels like he has heard the name 'Joseph Rayner' before.

That is all for this week!

TMA 2026 World Cup - Round 3 - Part 10 - Results

Welcome to the results of Round 3, part 10!

First, apologies, I forgot to publish the last day reminder yesterday, work has been crazy so I forgot. But I'm here today at least sooo here we go!

This week's winners are:

MAG 4: Page Turner and MAG 42: Grifter's Bone

Once again, the votes are reverse, after tights fights two weeks ago and not tight fights at all last week, we have again very close fights this week!

For the 1st duel, Page Turner won with 6 votes to 3 for A Stern Look and for 2nd duel, Grifter's Bone won with 5 votes to 4 votes for Dig.

So, in summary, a great week for Leitner books!

Honestly, I had no clear opinion on which episode was gonna win this week. I know Leitners are very popular but so is Elias and DIG. In the end, the tight votes make sense. Let's see for next week but I think it will be close too.

Go vote here and we'll see next friday!
