Struggling to find potentials
After reading posts from both men and women on here, it seems like many of us are struggling to meet people who are serious about marriage. I’m definitely in the same boat lol.
Hear me out on this idea.
Recently, I met someone who owns an event venue and I also had the chance to spend time talking with an uncle who has been married over 35 years mashallah. He shared a lot of valuable advice and insight about marriage, relationships, and what it takes to build it. I honestly think many of us could benefit from hearing his perspectives and advice.
So I had an idea: What if I book the venue and invite him to give a lecture on marriage, expectations, communication, compatibility, and everything that comes with it? People who are genuinely looking for marriage could attend, learn from the discussion, and then have an opportunity to network and meet others in a more natural setting. Iska fahma sheekada lol.
I feel like some people might not be comfortable attending something labeled as a “speed dating event” but a lecture and networking event could feel more organic, beneficial, and less awkward.
Would this be something you’d be interested in? Would you attend a lecture/networking event like this?
