I’m going to attempt CIO tonight but I have a concern. My son is 13 and half months old. I tried cry it out last year when he was six months old but I only lasted like 12 minutes before I heard him coughing and I went and got him. I got him because I knew what was coming. My son has a very sensitive gag reflex. I picked him up and he immediately threw up all over me.
Certain foods make him gag and throw up. Coughing too much or burping too hard also makes him puke. It used to be anything thicker than pureed baby food but now he can eat most things so it has improved greatly but still happens when he coughs too hard.
I want to do this tonight, I am ready. But I was wondering if anyone else had dealt with this and if you had any suggestions??? Please help!
Update: I did it! He fell asleep all on his own in about 15 minutes. NO PUKING!!!!! Yay!!!!!! I’m so proud of him.
