Advice on my sun conure's feathers
I have had Charlie since she was 7 months old, she's now 9 months old (almost 10). I'm saving money to buy her a proper cage since I think her current one is way too small for her even though the breeder said it's perfectly fine for her.
She's a happy energetic girl most of the time, super clingy but that's expected. She recently started to lose her tail feathers, and when we bought her she already had clipped wings. The cage stays open most of the time unless it's bedtime or no one else is home because she learned to land on the ground and we have a cat at home so I don't want to risk it.
She bathes three times a week, eats pellets and apples (seeds only served as snacks) and she absolutely refuses any sort of vegetables even though I've tried every trick in the book to get her to eat veggies (chop, eat in front of her, etc).
I'm worried that she has stress bars or if she barbs her own feathers. She has a lot of the black spots on her feathers.
I have heard that young conures tend to be more clumsy and snap their feathers accidentally but I was hoping to get some advice here to see if I was doing something wrong with her since I'm the primary caretaker of her (my mom bought her for my brother but he doesn't take care of her and my mom kinda neglects her and refuses to listen to me when I tell her to stop reinforcing bad habits like stroking her wings).
I'm attaching a picture of her cage as well to see if there's anything I can do to make it better for her, it has many toys that she likes and I rotate them once a week so she won't get bored.
