Cabinet Costs - Replace vs Reface vs Paint - Is this correct??

Cabinet Costs - Replace vs Reface vs Paint - Is this correct??

I'm working on our client intake form, checklist homeowner completes, B4 initial site visit. I'm adding some 'Good to Know' comments for commonly asked questions. I know from personal experience, generally and did some research online but would like to get some real contractor input. Is this 'generally' accurate?

What does it cost to reface or paint cabinets instead of replace?

Painting vs. New Cabinets

  • Painting is roughly 30–40% the cost of new

Refacing vs. New Cabinets

  • Refacing is roughly 40–60% the cost of new

I have limited space so I need to keep it short.

Floor and cabinet installation sequence - Advice Needed

I am writing a client intake/interview form where homeowner answers pre-contractor meeting questions about their remodel job. I am including a few 'Good to Know' cards on the form about common questions.

I am not a contractor, my background is remodel design and management for homeowners, not project manager.

I want to verify the comments on my cards are accurate. The cards are brief since the check-box form needs to be mobile friendly, so I am only adding where many (or inexperienced) homeowners may have questions.

"Flooring Cabinet Sequence: Cabinets are typically installed before flooring - saves material and provides a stable base. Depending on your project, the sequence may change. Note any details in the comments so it’s included in your scope of work."

Can I get some feed back on this topic card - if my statement is 'generally' accurate?

I don't have room for variations so I have to stay general. It's intended just to give the contractor general information before a site visit so they know what they need to ask about.

Comments??
