10 Years of Saving Lost Eartip Replacements

For almost a decade, I’ve been collecting spare eartips from every earphone I bought.

Mostly wired earphones. Mostly from Sennheiser, Skullcandy and Bose because these brands are better sounding for my playlist of mostly 90s and early 2000s rock. Some earphones survived for years, some barely lasted months, but I never threw away the extra tips.

Why? Because somehow it’s always just one eartip that disappears. Train travel, buses, cabs, friends’ houses, relatives’ places… one random eartip falls somewhere into another dimension and never returns.

After suffering enough times being stuck outside with one naked earbud, I started saving every spare pair. If I lose one, I replace it from the collection. If sizes match, I even mix and match singles.

Now I have a small archive of eartips collected across a decade of music listening. And yes, I also keep emergency pairs in my travel bag and car now because experience has taught me trust issues.

The unopened packs in the photo are the untouched reserves.

Does anyone else collect these or am I the only one?

Need advice on a lawyer fee situation after a MACP/MCOP case in Tamil Nadu, India

Timeline:

Accident happened in 2016.

Case was dismissed in 2021.

After that, proceedings continued and compensation money was finally received in February 2026.

My original lawyer handled the case for years.

Problem:

By September 2025, only the money withdrawal process was pending, but there were delays.

So I consulted another lawyer (friend of a relative) for help/advice.

He said he could handle the withdrawal process and got some signatures from me.

I already paid him ₹7000.

But eventually the original lawyer completed the withdrawal process and I received the money.

Now the second lawyer is asking for more money saying:

he filed vakalat, spent money for court proceedings and later spent money again to withdraw/cancel the vakalat.

But:

I am not even sure what papers I signed.

There was no clear fee agreement or percentage discussed.

I checked eCourts and I don’t think his name appears there.

Questions:

If a vakalat was really filed, should it normally appear in eCourts/order sheets?

Would there usually be any receipt/proof for filing or withdrawing vakalat?

Does filing vakalat alone entitle a lawyer to major fees if they didn’t complete the work?

What proof/documents should I ask him for before paying anything further?

I want to handle this calmly and fairly without unnecessary conflict.

I’ve been feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the financial pressure at my local church in Kovilpatti, Tuticorin district, Tamilnadu. We just finished a full renovation last year, which was funded entirely by the congregation. Now, the Father is back to asking for urgent donations again.

They’ve placed a giant banner at the entrance listing a pro-level audio overhaul—Yamaha mixers, RCF speakers, monitors, and "sound sensors"—totaling over ₹7 Lakhs. A few months ago, every family was asked to contribute ₹10,000 urgently for the renovation.

Looking at the equipment list, this isn't just a basic system for a priest to be heard; it’s an expensive, high-end setup that feels more like a concert venue than a place of worship.

I go to church for spiritual peace, but lately, it feels like being part of a high-pressure fundraising club. Is it common for churches to demand such specific, high amounts for upgrades like this? It feels like the focus has shifted from the community to "gear" and building projects.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of pressure at their place of religion/ peace?
