It’s been a long time since I first watched Black Sails and I forgot how incredible it is. I am at the tail end of a rewatch (Season 4) and I am only now remembering Silver was the one to reunite Flint and Thomas. I remembered their reunion, but Flint telling Silver about Thomas and the circumstances leading to his piracy on Madi’s island as well as Silver questioning Max about the convict-labourers in London before then suggesting it to Flint as an option were details I’d forgotten. This show is a masterpiece, and it is by far some of the best queer representation I’ve had the pleasure of watching — between Flint/Thomas, to Anne/Max and Eleanor/Max. The character development is also insane, especially regarding John, Flint, Billy, and Anne. It could received all the praise in the world and it still wouldn’t be enough, I love this show and I already can’t wait to rewatch it. Idk why I waited 7 years between my first watch and this first rewatch.

Have any of you had issues with episode 6 not appearing on the AMC+ app? I checked multiple times yesterday (Sunday 12th) when the episode was supposed to be released and I’ve checked again this morning and still nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions or theories as to what it might be??

(EDIT: it is officially 11.15am and the episode still has not uploaded so the change in streaming schedule is evidently not the reason. The app is still advertising “New Episodes Sundays” as well)

My 2019 MacBook has died on me and I have a year remaining on my degree. Currently, I have been forced to make do with my iPad and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as my assignment setup. I have access to a monitor but my iPad doesn’t have stage manager so I’d have to screen mirror which is laggy and significantly reduces the clearness/quality of the content.

I have a budget of $700-$800 AUD and given my limited budget I’ve had troubles finding a laptop that wouldn’t be a downgrade, performance wise, from the iPad setup as most of them have 8GB RAM and like 128-256GB memory or SSD (idk they terminology or what it really means just that these things are important in determining performance).

From what I’ve seen, mini PCs seem to be my best option as a lot of them have higher RAM and memory for a much cheaper price point with some being less than $400 even at 16GB RAM and 512GB memory. Is this wise or should I just get a stand for my iPad and make do? I don’t have money to be wasting on a new setup that’s not going to drastically improve things. For context, I’m doing a Bachelor of Criminology and I frequently have to do rather extensive research for assignments, so it is essential that the computer or laptop can handle this smoothly without lagging the second 20+ tabs are open (I’d also like to be able to do some light gaming on it as well but this is not a priority).
