macOS 26 killed Launchpad — is macOS 27 bringing it back?
Launchpad got quietly removed in macOS 26, and the reaction was surprisingly loud. Sure, plenty of people said, "Good riddance, never used it anyway." But a lot of us genuinely miss it, and I don't think we're crazy for wanting it back.
Liquid Glass landed in 26 but still feels like a first draft. If 27 is where Apple tightens it up, maybe there's room for a Launchpad that actually belongs in this new design — not a leftover from 2011.
Apple, if you're listening: bring it back. And to everyone else — Launchpad in macOS 27: yes or no?
