I have a pair of a 9.5s I was lucky enough to win after successfully obtaining my personal size in the original VAA draw. So I’m looking to trade and checked out the app, which is pretty dope. I haven’t aggressively used it yet since I’m not in a rush, but for now two trades I was interested in were the OG Bricks & the Awake 5s. The Bricks are relatively comparable pricewise and hype wise I would think, so I went 1 to 1. The Awakes, if only looking at the market value it shows, are worth a bit more so I threw a little cash on top of the VAAs, but figured someone might counter offer if they actually want them.

Nobody bit on those yet, but I did get these counter offers. The Awake one isn’t necessarily horrible, but they don’t seem great at a glance, at least from my end. That said, these aren’t quite “your dad’s Off-Whites,” so maybe it’s just a reflection of that. I also thought about a trade for some Trav Medium Olives, which on paper sounds relatively fair, though they are a bit less exclusive in comparison. They do have the Travis hype and are a wearable color.

I have zero experience with the trading scene, though, so curious on your thoughts.

Kith came through clutch so I went ahead and locked my debit card. I don’t understand how TF Nigel raffle ended 10 AM yesterday, and we STILL don’t have results. I guess we just expected to go for it on SNKRS out of fear and then get double charged (or more if you went for additional raffles). I prefer the raffles to bought free for alls, but I’d argue the raffles are damn near worse when they are handled so predatorily with no cancellations or returns, keeping you on the hook for multiple $100+ credit card charges without giving you results in a timely manner. No point in staggering them out if results all come in last minute anyway.

Maybe I’m slow, but damn this app is unintuitive as hell. So I only ever added two shoes to my closet that I was looking to move, a pair of the infinite archives 17’s, and most recently a pair of VAAs, both sz 8.5. Didn’t put in much foot work other than that, though since I’m not in a rush and don’t really know how the app works. Yesterday I added the pair of VAAs since I got lucky securing a second pair, and I think I added a trade I was interested in last night with the VAAs for a pair of Travis lows. Went on the app this morning since I was going to add a couple more trades I was interested in, and was surprised to see someone had accepted the offer (I think, anyway). I mainly found out because when I was trying to set up offers, it wasn’t showing the VAAs I added, so I started looking around different tabs.

If I’m not mistaken, I saw it listed under this tab. When I clicked on it, it said something about choosing if I want protection (didn’t read it thoroughly since I was working) and having 24 hours, so I clicked on it to read more, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t actually choose or finalize anything. In fact, I wanted to message the other person to find out how the process works since they seem to have done trades and were supposedly a trusted user. I got back to work, and when I opened the app again, now I can’t even find where the supposed accepted trade was. It looks like it should be listed here, and I see a “1” and “in progress” under accepted, yet it’s not actually showing anything.

Even when I look at my closet, it shows the number two for shoes added which is correct, yet doesn’t actually show any of the shoes. But if I try to create a new trade, it does pull up one of the shoes, the 17s, but doesn’t show the VAAs. So I can’t tell if I’m just stupid or if the app is cooked somehow.
