(TN) my ac broke!!
this is my third year renting with this place and we’ve never had issues but our ac just went out (compressor needs replaced) and they can’t get the part for a week. the unit blows a fan but it’s just warm air, and not even enough to circulate the apartment.
it’s 88+ outside during the day and my apartment got up to 82 inside today. i have 2 cats and they’re hiding in the “cool” places 😭
i only have one window that can open because they won’t put screens in any other windows, which has just been a minor inconvenience but now we can’t even open windows at night to help it cool off.
my maintenance guy let us a borrow a box fan from the office but i don’t have the money right now to buy multiple fans
i just know our electricity bill is going to be so high from trying to run a breaking/broken ac unit and now a fan constantly.
can i at least ask for a discount on next months rent?? i get they’re waiting on the part and there’s not much else to do but im miserable in my own apartment
