I can't even find my current landlord's phone number to fill out the form. Yeah I have the management company's number but they are completely unresponsive. One place had a $1000 mandatory "rental option payment" deposit to just apply. Non refundable if you back out of the place. Applied to another place and they ask for personal references on top of landlord references. What?? So I put my best friend and my mom. You are putting in your SSN and sending in bank statements, tax returns, etc.

Personal references is crazy to me. This is the first year I have seen that required. I am already sending so much sensitive data to them. It just seems insane.
