Hey y'all, really quite disappointed in the response the post of someone starting their army out got.

A couple of notes:

Firstly, shitting on someone buying a whole bunch of corsairs boxes to start with our faction, note, FACTION, not subfaction, not craftworld Eldar with a coat of paint, our faction, is a shitty move and will literally only harm us as a community and an army. Don't fuckin' do it. I will moderate it away in future. Breaks Rule 1.

Secondarily, we are not exclusively a comp play Reddit, our faction has over the last near 4 decades of Warhammer had rules and lost them, being the very first of the Eldar, before the craftworlders took shape we recognise today in Rogue Trader, Yriel, his Eldritch Raiders and many other Eldar Pirate Fleets plyed the void, seeking bounty, and treasure, or simply to be sung of as legends. We lost rules in 3rd, along with Harlequins, and were slated to return in 4th edition, with our Pirate Nobles becoming the ubiquitous Autarchs. And we did return in 5th edition until 7th edition. 8th was a time of loss as we were relegated along with Krieg and Lost and the Damned into irrelevance. But this community has ties to those like me did not abandon our faction, and with 9th we saw a resurgence.

Many of us play various editions, are more modellers or painters or both as opposed to hardline competitive players. If you're not being asked to comment on a list, or of a purchase, or of a unit: your opinions of its effectiveness in the current meta are unwarranted, and may be completely unwanted and unasked for. Stop it.

Do better, I've had a member of community very upset that their post in excitement was so damn near universally shat on.
