Speaking in Tongues is Hilarious Nonsense

I’m currently watching some clips from the good liars and one of the women says she is speaking in tongues. It’s just repetitive gibberish. I had a friend who was Pentecostal at school before she left to get married at 16. She talked about her religion a lot, I guess because I had been raised catholic and we were interested in the differences between our upbringings. Plus maths was really boring. She said she had never spoken in tongues but a couple of the older members of her congregation told her to just make something up as it was necessary to speak in tongues to be a part of the community.

I have noticed over the last few months that there are some cars that have coloured LED lights either on their rear brake lights or underneath their front lights. I saw one with LED lights in a circle where the car logo would be at the front of the car. I’ve seen them in daytime and at night time.

Are these legal? And should they be? I find them very distracting.

The last few days I have had magpie larks (I think this is what they are) fly into my kitchen, much to the excitement of my cat and my dog. For their safety I closed the windows but now they are flying at the windows and sitting on the windowsill. There are no trees at the back of my house where they are doing this so I don’t think it is a nest but I’m not sure why they are doing this out of the blue.

I did also notice today some of our local magpies who are regular visitors in the backyard. Could the magpies be scaring the magpie larks?

Is there anyway I can keep the magpie larks safe?

I’m in Ipswich, Queensland.

Update: I have hung tea towels from the windows after seeing the bird on my windowsill again this morning. Hopefully this will break him out of flying at my windows.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
