This is Wifu the ring tailed possum (Altona, Victoria)

Wifu seems to be about 2 years old at minimum and has had 2 years where she had babies and brought them too. Our cat (ragdoll) like to scream to go see her when he can and has been obsessed with her since day 1.

We don't feed Wifu a lot of the time but occasionally she'll get an apple cut up for her every now and then especially when pregnant or nursing. Our cat is gorgeous but kinda has rocks in his head lol enjoy pics of Wifu everyone!

Bird Identification SW Western Australia

Hi All,

I live in the South West of WA and had an exciting visitor in my back yard a few weeks ago. (Please excuse the poor quality of my pictures, I took the first 2 pics from my couch. I was worried the bird would fly away if I moved).

It's obviously some kind of hawk. I have tried to identify exactly what kind by comparing with other pics online with no success.

Anyone got any ideas what it is?

Thanks in advance.

Every night my resident Quenda visits.

They love the chicken coop, they dig up a lot of bugs in the run.
I'm in a country town 1.5 hours from Perth central.
I was outside one day & heard a noise behind me, I turned thinking it was the chooks but instead this little fella stared at me for a good 20 seconds then ducked under the fence.

Caught this local Australian Pelican doing the classic throat-pouch stretch this morning. Absolute unit of a yawn. 🥱🦢

My first Greater Gliders! (NSW)

They are absolutely gorgeous and adorable creatures. I was shocked by the size of their tails! Saw around 20 this evening. 10/10.

Extremely bushy tail Possum

Apologies; Not great images.
Possum came to visit last night (one of the locals) & I noticed on CCTV that it has an extermely bushy tail, like this is almost a full 80's hairstyle.
First photo - you can see chunker passing by, on a piece of scaffolding.
Second photo - you can see the tail in the background light. Possum is in front of some plants, so I have tried to illustrate the proportions
Even in the blurry images, you can see that the tail is frayed & 'exploded'. Anyone know a reason? Should I be calling someone? Bushy tailed Possum says help!
