Is it crazy of me to think establishing care shouldn’t be $1300???
I login to UHC to check my claims since I’ve had a lot of back to back doctors and medical appointments recently.
One of which is to establish care with a new PCP since moving.
I go into the clinic at 2pm, wait maybe 10 minutes get called back, into a room, they take my history, wait another 10-15 doctor comes in to confirm it with me, I let him know a concern I have, got a prescription and then left after another maybe 5-10 minutes.
I then look at insurance being billed $1300!! For waiting in the office and telling him a concern?!
HOW?! I wanna go in and ask for an itemized bill because THERE IS NO WAYY it’s costs $1300 just to establish care? Right?!
