[UPDATE] I've updated my earlier DTX diagram to reflect the machine that I found a green CharlieCard at today—it's leftmost of the two TVMs sitting alone in the concourse near the old CharlieCard store.

Thanks to u/taetaeee for locating them! There are also reportedly blue ones available at DTX but I haven't visited those machines personally so refer to their full post for the details.

See my earlier post with a guide for finding red and blue cards at Park Street here.

GOES satellite view of the apparent meteor that exploded over Massachusetts Bay yesterday afternoon, with the power of around 300 tons of TNT. An audible boom was widely reported across several states.

Image source – the GOES 19 satellite detects relative changes in brightness every few milliseconds.

News article here

I heard the boom myself and felt the house shake slightly. It sounded/felt like a thunderclap or construction vehicle noise close by.

I made a diagram showing which Park Street and DTX vending machines the limited-edition red and blue Charlie cards can be found at (as of 5/28—credit to Albert Guillaumes for the station maps!)

There are other stations (South Station, North Station, Forest Hills, and maybe others too) but these are the only two that I personally visited. I haven't had a chance to collect the green card yet, but I've heard it's available at Forest Hills and South Station.

To get the cards from the specific TVMs, be sure to select "buy value" (not a pass or ticket) to ensure that a new plastic card is dispensed. $0.05 is the minimum value you can load, so five cents gets you a new card!

Perfect timing of a mallard about to land near Acadia National Park

Completely by chance, through my telephoto lens near sunset.
