Shimano SLX A or Fenwick HMG Walleye for Pike and bass?

Both medium-heavy, fast. Shimano is 7ft and Fenwick is 7.2ft.

I mainly target Pike, but get largemouth bycatch, as well as perch, sunfish, catfish.

Models: SLXS70MH2A vs HMGW72MH-FS-2

These are the last two contenders for my new spinning rod. Is the Fenwick walleye rod good for pike?

Thanks in advance!

Can you please recommend me a new Spinning Rod?

Currently have a Daiwa Tatula XT and i love it, but it's Medium power, fast action, 2 piece, and I mostly fish for pike and would like to get a Medium-Heavy power- Would love the Tatula XT again but unfortunately their MH Fast is only 1 piece :/

Any recommendations for these specs:

  • MH Power
  • Fast Action
  • 2 Pieces
  • Budget: 120$

Thanks in advance!

What leader should i use on 15 lb braid for Pike fishing (and bass perhaps)

Hello.

Been trying to start fishing lately with family. Where we go our main target is Pike, however we also get bass quite frequently, as well as crappies, perch and small fish.

I have 15lb braid and was wondering what you suggest as a leader for northern pike?

Currently we just use steel wire but I often see everyone suggest braided line with a fluo leader.

And what fluo leader would be good with 15lb braid for pike, and not be easily cut through with their teeth?

Thanks!
