Sunday and Monday are the only days my friend is in town with a car in Phoenix and we have planned to visit Sedona Sunday and Tucson Monday.

The rough plan on Sunday was:

Phoenix → Devil's Bridge → Bell Rock → Chapel of the Holy Cross → Cathedral Rock → Red Rock Crossing → dinner → Phoenix

Will devils bridge be safe in the rain, I've read to avoid, how would you rec adjusting plan in the rain? So annoying we got the one weekend it choses to rain :(

Spoke to a girl on an app and asked her to get a coffee on Sunday and go for a walk. She said she has a machine at her house and doesn't need to leave for coffee.

On one hand I do not like to invest £50-100 upfront on a girl that may ghost or never or see me again. I love saving for travel and am investing a lot into stocks. A lot of my friends agree that a coffee is a good vibe check to see if she is genuine or not.

However, my dad who might be of a different generation argues that girls don't like stingy misers and that if you wanna date you need to be willing to spend. He said its your choice and to make your mind up. He argued that coffee is formal and a girl would agree to it after she sees you are fun in a drinking/party or restaurant environment first.

Would appreciate your thoughts. Its kind of tough because I am cheap hahaha. I'm 25 and trying to build

Solo Brit 25 planning to visit here, so far my experiences are Orlando, Tampa and Austin. Both of which were super friendly. I loved the fact that you can approach ppl and ppl invite you to chill with them. Ppl in these states said this dynamic was 'Southern hospitality'. Is this the same in Arizona or will it be different? I'm excited to see how it differs, I am sure it will be friendlier than the UK anyhow lol.

I imagine the sit at the bar and strike conversation with bartenders is a thing in all US states. But interested in what to expect. I've decided to stay in Tempe as its cheap, near the uni and the football stadium. Gonna defo uber to Scottsdale and Blue Martini as I've heard things haha.

So I asked a woman out I found attractive from a bar. She said she was being nice and polite, but wanted to be friends and could wingwoman me in the future etc.

We then went to a bar and I bought a round. She then straight up asked me to buy her food and I got annoyed saying we were just friends.

I just couldn’t believe the audacity, if we are friends why would I pay for her shit?

She claimed that her guy friends pay for her, is this normal or was I in my rights to kick off?

I primarily am looking for nightlife and to make friends sitting at the bar? This was easy in Tampa and Austin.

I've been looking at hotels and I am debating Old Town Scottsdale. I heard Mill Avenue is fun, but not sure if its too young and cliquey. Any advice is much appreciated.

Is mill avenue like SOHO in Tampa (for anyone who knows both). This was a lot of fun, so maybe Tempe has a similair vibe.

I will be coming in early October.
