Timeline of repairs at CameraWiz?
I sent a very special, valuable camera to Frank Marshman for a CLA. I was thrilled when he said he was still doing repairs on that model Bronica because no one else I've found works on the older Bronicas, and he came recommended. When I reached out he said that he could turn it in 5-6 weeks, and I sent it in per his instructions. After about 3 months (because I know a lot of these guys are inundated and stuff always takes longer) I started inquiring to the status about once a month. At first I got a couple of explanations and let it go, but it's been almost 5 months, and he's getting less/unresponsive. A month ago he said it was on his bench and would be done probably that weekend. I'm now getting left on read. That camera is special to me and I don't want to lose it, even if it's returned in the same state it was delivered in. I had hope to use it in an upcoming trip, but I'm getting worried. I messaged him a polite message saying all this but he isn't responding. Has anyone had experience with him before? Is this normal? If this is just how it is, and I'm going to get my camera back CLA'd (or at all really) I'm happy to wait. But the initial expectation and the unresponsivess has me scared. Any experiences you could share would be helpful.
