I just finished the novel and I have to say it was one of the better Chinese novels I have read. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and great characters. Though by the half way point we barely see some of the secondary characters outside of a goofy pop in. Also it became a little repetitive and predictable with definite plot armors and no worry on anyone on the patriarchs side dying. I wish the story actually continued to the next realm as the climax. It almost ended abruptly with. I true conclusion to many of the characters. Now off to finish my disciples are all villains.
