Razorblade Tears by S. A Cosby- Here’s My Thoughts

I just finished reading it. It took some time for me to finish it. Maybe I’m in a reading slump or something cuz the book is actually pretty good and I was invested in it throughout. The story was interesting. It definitely wasn’t fast-paced but also not slow. I LOVED the WRITING. There are some great lines in there. All the characters are soo well developed. I don’t read a lot of southern or western thrillers. This one’s definitely my fav tho. Not much of a twist-and-turns kinda book. There’s just one major twist, which imo is good. But rest of it is just a good old revenge story. Would definitely recommend tho! Also please give me suggestions for my next read. I’m now looking for a fast-paced book with amazing plot twists, one that can get me out of this probable reading slump.

I honestly am supremely disappointed. What the hell was that book?! It started off so strong. It was a page-turner, I’ll give it that. But, all for what??? The ending was sooo ambigous. Fine I get the whole alternate dimensions, evil entity shit but still you gotta explain something! Don’t get me wrong I have read books that plays with the concept of alternate realities (Dark Matter, for example). But the authors do a good job making it seem believable or logical…or at least explain the events of the story. Nothing with this one. Ending literally did nothing for me! I do get it ( I have multiple interpretations of it) but I still don’t like any of the outcome I may perceive. Just a huge waste of my time. Honestly, expected so much when I started reading. It could’ve gone in any direction but It feels like the author chose the worst possible one. Also, soooo fkin much happened in the book…so many characters and plots left unexplained or atleast unexplored. Uggghhh hated it.

So I am currently reading “ Next of Kin” by Kia Abdullah. And I gotta say, I am not feeling it whatsoever. I have dnfed this book MULTIPLE times but then I see someone recommend it and I start reading again. It just didn’t have that initial hook for me eventhough the plot is really unique. So I need you guys to do one of two things: EITHER convince me to keep reading if you think it is worth it. OR just give me the run down of the whole thing like the plot twists and all. Cuz I really wanna know how it ends. Be sure to give a spoiler warning if you choose to give me the summary. YALL COME THROUGH CUZ I AM STRUGGLING WITH THIS ONE LOL
