A full solve with some weak theories. Poke holes.

Got a first solve. Test it for me! Poke holes in it!

  • If it’s treasure you seek, here’s some friendly advice
  • Begin your quest early, when the mornings are nice
    • General advice to start early because the hike starts in an area that's shaded in the morning, aka an area on the EAST BENCH! Not an area in the west that would be sunny in the morning. Maybe a later clue will reveal more about these lines.
  • Glance to the west, use distant peaks as your guide
  • They should look like the Rock with the moon on its side
    • Antelope Island has distant peaks in the west. It can be seen from most locations in the valley. It's the Rock with the moon on its side. Why? The Rock is another name for Alcatraz Island. That's why Rock is capitalized. Alcatraz, being an island, ties it to Antelope Island (bonus that they are generally shaped like each other). The moon on the side is the dusty, exposed lake bed on the east side of Antelope Island.
  • Walk through the dust that stands as a shield
    • This is a clue to start at "the rock" AKA Antelope Island, and head east on Antelope Drive (past the dust between the island and the valley and towards the more steady mountains)
  • Yet when the storm blows, it refuses to yield
    • As you continue east, you hit the mountains this is a generally good starting place as there are 2-3 trails in at the end of antelope drive up against the mountains
  • Visit the stranger who once knelt to stone
    • Is Adam, from the Bible the stranger? Adam's Canyon? Adam once kneeled at stone altars. He's been referred to as the stranger.
  • And climb where the wind is never alone
    • Hike to Adam's lookout, where the wind can hit you from every direction
  • If the phoenix’s order is one you’ve joined
  • Follow the galleons that Hermione coined
    • These clues give us a measurement to help us know when to step off the trail, not sure what the numbers are yet, but I'm going with 519 feet. Book 5, chapter 19
  • Wind through the trees where the trail is hard
  • Until you meet the dragon and the fortune he guards
    • Past adams lookout, there are a few crazy rock structures, one of them could look like a dragon, I won't know until I hike it, but there are a few street view bubbles up there and you can see how jagged and curvy the rocks are
  • Now, close to the prize, you can rest your shoulders
  • And find the wooden chest amongst the boulders
    • Hints at where to step off the trail and search for the chest
