Postmaster Engram PSA

As many of you know, you can open engrams in your postmaster to receive loot from another pool, even though the engrams were earned in another activity, e.g. farming master lost sectors on Nessus, and opening them in the tower for Tech Sec armor.

What I hadn’t seen though, was using this at other post masters; engrams retrieved from the pale heart post master give First Ascent armor, and I assume this extends to Neomuna, possibly the Enclave for Throne World armor. I don’t remember what other locations have postmasters, but this helps with grinding certain bonuses, as Lost Sectors are quick to do.

Apologies in case this is well-known, and I’ve just been under a rock

Feeling underpowered and not really understanding build crafting

I’m almost level 20, just left Athens, in Korinth currently. I’m still not sure how these systems work, and I’ve been somewhat overwhelmed for a lot of the game so far. I’ve been leveling Assassin and using assassinations+Hero Strike for all of my damage. Anything else has been a wet noodle, so if an assassination doesn’t kill a target, I’m stuck tickling them until Hero Strike is off cooldown. Because of this, I’m looking to building a warrior focused build, and just brawl, but I’m not sure how.

My first question is about weapon damage scaling, weapon DPS doesn’t seem affect by the warrior stat, at least in menus, so do I just need to occasionally upgrade/find new weapons as the only way to increase damage? Am I misunderstanding what I’m reading on screen?

Second, I’m not seeing a reason to invest into Warrior stats if they only boost abilities. 200% of 1000 for a kick, or 250% for a rush is pretty low, and Hero Strike is 60% of 10000 by barely building into it, and is much more effective even if most active combat isn’t doing anything until that recharges. I feel like I’m missing something to make warrior worth it?

I’m on normal difficulty, and any mission on my current level feels slow, and even missions I’m supposed to be a few levels over. I’m considering switching to easy but I’ve never felt the need to do that in any game, so I want to know if I’m missing something

Otherwise, the game looks fantastic, the story is intriguing so far, and the combat is fun, though it feels like it is taking too many swings to knock a lot of enemies down. Also, I’m not good with words or proofreading, I can clarify anything I didn’t explain well.
