Hi all! I absolutely love my daytime soaps (a trait passed down from my Mother & my Grandmothers!).

I check out all the soap subreddits & this is, by far, my absolute favorite!

I used to be a regular of my beloved Night Crew (I’m now living halfway across the world & on a very different time zone, but I miss you guys so much & enjoy reading all your comments the next day!).

I truly appreciate our thankless Mods for keeping this a kind & respectful community! I’m sure you may catch heat for that at times, but seeing other subs, I absolutely appreciate the volunteer work & rule following that goes into keeping this sub pleasant (ditto for you lovely members)! Thank you all for keeping this fun, light, & engaging! ❤️

When Amanda Frances mentioned the “hate they all receive on Reddit”, I sincerely hope that Jennifer Tilly knows we don’t include her in that mess. We love her!

I never go into this show having high expectations, just accepting I’m never going to love it or hate it.

However, even watching it with the baseline of low expectations, it’s flaws have become VERY glaring during this particular time period of Bravo:

- The Valley Persian Style was a firecracker

- Ladies of London & RHORI are absolutely top tier, fresh, new shows

- This season of Southern Hospitality is peaking & is closely reminiscent to a bygone Bravo era

- Summer House added some fun & lively characters, coupled with a lot of viewers watching it like a forensic autopsy, looking for clues in the West/Amanda mess

The Valley, while a decent to good show (depending on the season) greatly benefited from being surrounded by past-their-prime shows (that most people still watch due to investment in the characters, or even just out of habit).

But now that it’s airing after, or within, the same “season” as fresh, dynamic shows, it’s easy to become impatient with this show, and become more frustrated with the choices production has made: keeping Janet & Jason, adding Lala & Schwartz, along with filming this season too soon (they needed more time - Janet is still trying to capitalize off of last season’s grievances, Kristen & Nia are in the hardest part of postpartum, Jasmine still doesn’t really have anything to do, we all know Brittany’s relationship we’re forced to watch only lasted 5 minutes, etc. A longer “pause” would have greatly benefited everyone). Not to mention that most people are understandably disappointed about RHOM not filming, while watching this show flounder.

If this show makes it beyond this season, I think it should be expected to level up…especially knowing how many good shows have been cancelled for a lot less.
