Hello, I have small hands and a slammer 6500 dx. I'm talking small in euro brands like revit and dianese and xs in klim. The handle ball is massive. The gomexus one is pretty much the same size. Does anybody know of a smaller aftermarket option? Is the handle ball solid aluminum? If that is the case, I'll machine it down.
Looking to get a travel rod for a slammer 6500dx. This would be an all around rod for surf, jetty, pier, and boat fishing while traveling. Any other sugestions for a travel rod that can through 6 oz of weight would be greatly appreciated.
I plan on fishing with large baits for stuff like halibut, big skate, ling cod, and small to medium sharks. I have the st croix triumph travel surf. It does not have enough back bone. I have a santiam 4 piece rod and dont like it ether. Santiam uses extremely cheap components and the blanks/handles are very thick. If I cant find one sub 300, I just might consider trying to build my own. Any suggestions for 4 or 5 piece travel rods that can cast 6-8oz only would be greatly appreciated.
