This is quite specific, but I believe that at one point in history cockroaches managed to completely rebrand themselves in the Netherlands.
think about it: they used to be labeled as literal plague, known to spread diseases and overall have been associated with poor hygiene.
nowadays, a lot of locals don’t believe they can exist in their homes, even if the place is pilled with trash. And if they do, they don’t see it as a big deal, especially when they are a smaller type like german cockroach. how did we come to this?
