Incredible, all time foliage in northern New England during the first week of October. None of these photos have any filter or editing, the color was off the charts. So thankful for our planet!
Would anyone with Pavones experience mind answering a question for me? I’ve only been when the swell is significant. Looking at July 21-25, trying to understand if there will be waves or if it’ll be totally flat. Has anyone been with a swell that looks similar? Thank you!
21st: reading 3-4 with swell 2ft 15s SW, 2.9ft 11s SSW
22nd: reading 2-3+ with swell 2.7ft 11s SW, 1.8ft 13s SW
23rd: reading 2-3ft with swell 2.1ft 12s SSW, 1.2ft 13s S
24th: reading 2-3 with swell 2.5ft 12s SSW, 1.2ft 20s SW
25th: reading 3-4 with swell 1.6ft 21s SSW, 1.4ft 20s SW, 3.7ft 11s SW
Truly one of the most magical places I’ve ever hiked. You can find a range of trails here from very reasonable to very strenuous. I was worried about crowds, but found that going late in the day almost always resulted in completely empty trails (sun sets at 10:30pm, and it isn’t dark until around midnight). I’ll be back as soon as possible!
