Kitten fell from 5th floor
She is alive and active. She fell 2 days ago while playing with the neighbour’s cats. I was not present. I took her to the vet and her x day seems fine.
I still need a second opinion because that’s an impossible fall. I was later told she had lost bladder control and was hyperventilating. She had diarrhoea the next few hours. She had a bruise on her hind leg but vet said she’s fine.
I am attaching the x ray image. She was prescribed a digestive med and meloxicam for pain relief. The vet injected her with a pain reliever after the fall and she seems normal since. The meloxicam is supposed to be started from tonight till Thursday.
She’s an indie, calico, female, 3 months old, 1.3 kg. I rescued her when she was 3 weeks old. No medical issues that I have noticed yet.
I lost my first kitty from the same fall. Since then all my kitties have been completely indoors. I just need to be very sure. The next visit is on Wed.
