Unexpected health check in Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park
Hi all
This morning I was at the Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park in the Green Lung and there were some people there doing health checks - weight, blood pressure, blood test. It took me by surpirse, they were at the Deep cafe in the park and I'd only gone for coffee. They asked me to take a photo and before I knew it they were ushering me along to a weighing scale and a nurse with a blood pressure sleeve.
Does anyone know more about it? I can't remember exactly but I think their t-shirts might have had a blue and orange logo. I'm not alarmed, just curious because they took my picture with them
A BIG THANKS to all who have responded. I'll definitely have a look at the Bang Kachao green space but you've also given me some ideas for places a bit further away.
=======================
I am living in bangkok but a bit fed up of the steel and concrete and traffic noise, so looking for advice from others living here - how do you get away from it all?
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or homestay in BKK for a kind of staycation, somewhere I can just spend the day sitting in a quiet garden somewhere? I don't need pool/gym, just fancy a change from steel and concrete surroundings.
Ideas other than a "staycation" also appreciated - somewhere to do an easy one day escape to peace and tranquility.
Thanks for any help
