Requesting an opinion on finances + step kids

Salam, I am getting 38F getting to know someone 40M for marriage, and he seems like a good guy so far although still early days. We have a similar level of religious practice and mindset.

He has a daughter from his previous marriage. I don't have any kids.

We would like to buy a house together. If we both contribute, we would naturally both own it. What I have had to consider for the first time ever is how we split the proportion of ownership. We earn similar amounts now, but if we were to have kids ourselves then i would have a career break or reduce my hours after and he would have to take over all or most of the financial responsibility.

If God forbid he were to die, then his daughter would inherit from him, but as its a girl, his brothers would also get a share of inheritance from my understanding. It means the home i've potentially paid for, would have lots of stakeholders, and i could get forced to leave or uproot.

What would be a fair way to safeguard everyone?
