I played 20 games across all 3 maps today and was unable to exfill once. I stated with decent kits using blue shield and purple gear, by the end I was using free kits and had no credits left to buy heals or anything.

I don't understand where I'm going wrong. I'm trying so hard to implement the advice I see online and get on this sub but nothing is working. Its brutal being hunted down by better players when I just want to enjoy and play a game made by a studio I love.

Why would I ever want to play in a lobby where I am unfavoured. What's even the point of a ranked mode if I'm not playing within my rank?

This is such a stupid system, no wonder you are only given this information at the end of a match, otherwise no one would play. Ah yes let me select 'get shit on' mode, I'm sure that will be fun!

Stupid game

Just jumped on for some runs after work. Booted up outpost to complete a generic Arachne mission.

Four games in a row my green/blue shield squad was wiped by a gold shield + mizzy trio. Four games in a row I didn't survive more than 4 minutes to trios wiping the lobby.

What am I actually supposed to do here? I can't run, they have a recon and are faster than me. I can't fight, they both out gear me and out play me. What am I supposed to do here?

To everyone that will say 'get good' or 'use better gear' how am I supposed to do that? How am I supposed to improve my skills? I can barely play 4 minutes of the game before I am slaughtered.

Never have I played a game before that is so hostile in its design to such a large portion of its casual player base. Something is wrong, I can't imagine bungie intended this.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? Is this game really just not for me?

Enough said. This game needs vastly bigger maps.

Playing in OCE on a Monday evening. It's also school holidays, so younger people should be online.

I've tried multiple times to queue ranked perimiter, solo dire marsh, and trios. Can't find a game at all.

I'm a pretty average player, I seem to be doing quite well this season when I equip a green shield and can easily clear all three wings on outpost. As soon as I take in a blue shield I seem to get stomped everytime. Not even by other blue shield but just by players with insane game sense, map knowledge, and rotations. This only happens when I take in a blue shield.

Are they doing some kind of shield based / skill based matching making? Putting me against better players when I take in better gear?
