Cat poops outside the Petkit Puramax 2
For the past couple of months, my cat often enter the litter box but starts pooping even when her butt is still outside. As you can see in the picture, the poop lands right at the opening and falls down.
Brought her to the vet in case this problem is caused by health issues but she’s perfectly fine.
She has been using this litter box since she was a kitten. My theory for why this happens is because she doesn’t realise that she needs to get in deeper as her body is longer than before. She’s probably used to how she did it from when she was a kitten.
I don’t know what to do! If I catch her doing it I would push her in more but there’s nothing I can do when I’m at work. I tried tilting the door higher up so she’s forced to get in properly, but the machine resets itself to the correct angle right away.
Does anyone have any solutions to fix this? Is there a way I can adjust the door angle without the litter box resetting itself?
