Pop Toss set up

One of the criticisms of the Pop Toss is the height you get. In my league the pitch is supposed to be between 6 and 12 feet but it’s often over 14. Putting the PopToss in a bucket and strapping it to a fold up work bench gets me over 10 feet at the apex. The distance is still 1/2 of what I need but it’s good start for those interested.

Do people realize class 2 e-bikes with a throttle can’t ride in cycle tracks

I see a lot of cheering for the micromobility crackdown that TPS is running. With many being happy that e-bikes that look like scooters will not be allowed in the bike lanes/cycle tracks.

I’m wondering if people realize this law also applies to all class 2 e-bikes which have a throttle. Meaning a “bike looking” ebike, with a 500 watt motor, restricted to 32km/he and with a throttle can’t go in a cycle track (protected bike lane).

The bylaw is pretty explicit that anything that can be operated without pedalling, even a class 2 bike, is prohibited.

Does the city actually want anyone riding Aventon, NCMs, Lectric bikes etc, all of which have throttles, to be in the road with cars. Is that what car drivers actually want?

Anyone retire with 2 million AND a large mortgage?

My wife (50f) and I (52m) have about 2.1 million in liquid investments and own a 1.6 million home with a 700k mortgage (20 years left).

I’m hoping to 90% retire next year but as a couple we will have some passive income of 30k/year for 3-5 years. We will also get about 50k/year at 70 with CPP/OAS.

When I run simulations on Optml or Adviice it looks like we can do it.

If our mortgage was less this would be a no brainer but with such a high mortgage I was wondering if anyone has done something similar.

TIA
