Galaxy Watch Ultra on OnePlus 15??
I'm looking for advice for my specific situation. My Galaxy S21 Ultra is no longer getting security updates. Because I'm in the US, flagship phone choices are limited. While I'd prefer to get the S26 Ultra ($1099 for 256GB storage), the OnePlus 15 (OP15) is $350 less (today). The biggest trade-offs IMO are the camera and, most critically to me, the Galaxy Watch Ultra compatibility (EKG, new blood pressure monitor, watch/phone setting sync). More details below, but I'm looking for your thoughts on how you view/weigh the trade-offs..
\- Cost - OP15 wins
\- The S26 Ultra is probably not getting much cheaper. RAM costs will probably keep the price high despite Memorial Day "sales."
\- I'm not doing a trade-in - on-line, and the S21 Ultra value is not good.
\- Features
\- Cameras - S26 Ultra will be better than the OP15 for photos and certainly for video. I don't shoot much video but wonder how much worse the OP15 will be in low light and and with motion .
\- Performance - fine on either. I'm not gaming.
\- Updates - WRT security updates, expect 2 more from Samsung relative to OP. I care less about OS updates, but S26 will get 2 or 3 more than the OP15.
\- Wildcards
\- OnePlus - (1) may exit North America, with unforeseen consequences. (2) I've used Oxygen OS and it is/was fine on the OP3, OP6T and the OnePlus Pad 2.
\- Customization - I do a lot of customization including tasker, custom launchers, but more importantly Samsung Good Lock and modes/routines.
Sorry for the long post but that's my full situation. I hope there are phone geeks ike me who enjoy kibitzing on this stuff. :-)
Tx.
