I've been building client sites on Wix for about a year now. (I think it's improved a lot on the technical SEO side in the past few years.) Schema, canonicals, redirects, Core Web Vitals the basics and the technical all covered and performs well IMO.

So why do I still see SEO pros defaulting to self hosting on WordPress when the SEO topic comes up? Is there a real technical gap left? or is it reputation that hasn't caught up yet?

Also curious about GEO / AI search: Wix has an AIO visibility dashboard, it exists, but I'm not sure how to work it into day-to-day content optimization. Are platform-level AI visibility features actually moving the needle for anyone on LLM brand mentions? or too early to tell?

Especially want to hear from SEO person and from people who've testing platforms recently, or who are testing AI-native builders like Lovable, Durable, or v0. Thanks!

Every tool I try for coming up domain names lately spits out a lot of AI generated mush... Words that mean nothing, random hyphens, ".io" on everything....

It all sounds the same and none of it sticks for my clients. I build sites for small business clients (mostly on Wix, it works the best for me) and to brain storm the domain names for clients is honestly one of the hardest parts lately.

Not because there aren't options, buy because nothing feels right. A good domain should have some logic to it, something the client can explain to someone at a dinner party without spelling it out three times.

I'm not against the AI domain name generators but I'm more curious about the mental process behind how people land on names that actually work. How do you approach it? If you use AI, at what phase? Do you start from the business name, the feeling, the audience?

Do you check domain availability first? Is there a framework you come back to?

Would love to hear the actual thinking steps, not just "try Namemesh." but also welcome if there's an AI domain generator that actually delivers.
