My new bags
Hi all
I decided to make this post after I saw a post about not getting the Longchomp Le Pliage love a few days ago. To be fair, I didn't get it either.
I just got my new bags and I (kind of unexpectedly) love them. I was looking for bags to take with me on an upcoming trip. I needed both bags to be tsetse fly UNfriendly colours, so think beige, browns and earthy tones. I needed one bag as a bigger all around bag, for the plane, the beach and shopping. I wanted a lightweight bag with a zipper that could also be worn as a crossbody and I decided I would get a Le Pliage tote in cognac, so original, I know. I have another one, it’s just in the wrong colour but it’s been with me on multiple trips and I use it when it’s rainy or snowy, which happens a lot where I’m from. It's an old and tired poor thing and has retired now. Anyway, I didn't think I would love it as much as I do. I love the color, it’s so versatile and goes with a lot of my outfits. We’re not big on seasonal colours in my country so I’ll be wearing it year round.
I also needed a fanny pack. It wanted a small one with a zipper compartment inside. I looked for a while, all the bags I found were either too big, not with a zipper pocket or in the wrong color. After a lot of searching I ended up with a Hobo Fern belt bag in sandstorm. It's amazing! Perfect size, with a zipper pocket and the price is a huge plus. The color is so beautiful and the leather is to die for, it’s so soft and supple. I wasn't expecting it to be this great. I have never seen or touched Hobo bags before so I was surprised by the quality. I don’t know if I like fanny packs now or just love the leather and colour of this particular bag.
(If you like small fanny packs, then I really liked Ateliers Auguste Roquette and was considering if I should get it but decided against it. It's so pretty but I usually don't really like or wear fanny packs so I didn't want to spend so much money and maybe only wear it on this trip and never again. I think I should get one now, maybe I like fanny packs after all? Maybe I'll get one pre-loved if I can find it and see if I'm really into it or not).
I almost forgot, I loved the Le Pliage bag so much I ordered a Le Pliage backpack in chestnut. It won’t take up space or be heavy in my bag. I also got one of those tiny xs pouches and I ordered a strap for it. I don’t know why I did that or how I will use it but it’s going with me too. I can’t wait to try them out. Now I want a leather xtra xs tote. Again, I don’t know why, I just do. I might have a problem.
Anyway, I just wanted you all to know my thoughts on these bags if you are going on a trip, if you just happen to like small fanny packs or if you’ve been eyeing the Le Pliage in cognac. I can't recommend these bags enough.
